I specialize in outdoors, natural light, and candid portraits. I primarily shoot from late afternoon to sunset, and am always down to travel to a location special to you and your loved ones. I've worked with fussy toddlers to moody teenagers -- and everything in between! I always love including furry members of your family in photoshoots too.

How many photos will I receive?

A single hour session will yield about 25+ fully edited photos. I chose this amount as a baseline because I believe in quality over quantity. If you're interested in receiving more images, you may purchase additional photos with your session package of choice.

what locations do you recommend for portraits?

I currently serve the Greater St. Louis and Jefferson County area, and I have an in-depth list of photoshoot locations to fit any style or theme you can imagine. Let me know if you have a special place in mind for your shoot!


For locations outside my service area, we can discuss a custom travel package that fits your vision and session needs.

How will i receive my photos?

After I finish selecting and editing the very best pictures from your session, I will send via email a link to an online gallery for you to view and download your photos. Easy peasy, right?

are all my photos included in the session package?

YES! You can download and print all of the completed photos from your session for personal use*.



*Personal use is defined as non-commercial usage for independent enjoyment. Feel free to use my photos for your framed gallery wall, photo album, social media feed, or profile picture. Please request permission for image usage outside of these parameters, including but not limited to contest submissions, modeling portfolios, business headshots, et cetera. See contract for details.

how long will it take before i receive my photos?

Depends on the length of the shoot, but usually 1-2 weeks. However, I’ll send over a few “sneak peek” images within 48 hours of the photoshoot. Get excited!

why do you charge ___?

My prices don't just cover the cost of the actual photoshoot...I wish that was all I had to do!


Behind the scenes, I spend hours prepping for each individual session, creating session guides, culling and editing images, delivering photos on a deadline, marketing and advertising my work, posting consistently on social media, etc. In addition, there are other costs incurred including editing software, web hosting, and the various subscriptions keeping Joyful Heart Portraits running smoothly.
