Something that sets me apart from the sea of other portrait photographers is I believe in authentic photos with true-to-life coloring and absolutely no photoshopping natural features, cropping out faces, or overediting.

My passion for this kind of all-natural photography began when I was a freshman in high school. I just received my school pictures back and realized the photographer had decided it was necessary to smooth out and 'perfect' my 14-year-old face without my knowledge or consent.

This really stuck with me.

I don’t want anyone to ever feel like their skin or body needs to be ‘touched up’ or otherwise digitally altered in order to have a great photo of themselves. Every smile line, forehead crinkle, birthmark, constellation of freckles, and scar tells the story of you and your life - and isn’t that perfect enough?
