I was SO excited for the Kaza's extended family shoot, not only because of the gorgeous garden location but because this was my first session taking place in the morning, just after sunrise. The lighting was simply stunning, bathing us in a warm golden light.

Summer morning sessions do require quite an early wakeup call, but the results are so, so worth it. Naptime isn't interrupted, temps are mild, and you can enjoy the rest of your day knowing I'm hard at work already editing your portraits.

This secret garden of sorts is a hidden gem within St. Louis County, and one I'm excited to return to with clients again and again. The gorgeous snowball hydrangeas, huge purple alliums, and dozens of vartieies of ferns planted along the brick and stone pathways add so much unique texture and color to your photoshoot, perfect for a spring or summertime session.
